The World War II Open Resource Group is an affiliate site of the online historical communities, WWII Forums and WW2Talk. This site is maintained by members of both groups in a collaborative effort to keep interest in the history of the Second World War alive and information freely available. |
Officially launched on June 6th, 2017 this site serves two major functions: A Lexicon of the Second World WarA comprehensive encyclopedia for essentially any topic concerning the Second World War, including people, events, machines, and more. In doing this, all information added is to be verified and approved of by our editing team to ensure quality work and maximum reliability. An Archive of Second World War Source MaterialsA place to aggregate all manner of primary source materials. Everything from unit histories, technical manuals, after action reports, to weapon schematics, the World War II Open Research Group will be the central location on the web to access them. |
The wide scope of our goal to fully document the Second World War period means that there is almost always room to grow as a resource. If you have information, media, or other items you'd like to contribute to help improve WW2.org, we'd like to hear it!
